UN CRPD : Experts needed !

Inclusion Europe is currently contracting national experts of all EU Member States to work on a new project which will assess the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) for children with intellectual disabilities. 
In order to conduct research throughout the 27 Member States of the EU concerning the implementation of the CRC from the perspective of children with intellectual disabilities, Inclusion Europe is looking for one national expert of each Member State.National Experts will be expected to conduct research based on a developed tool. They will receive training on how to use this tool at a training session in Prague. 

The National Experts will be asked to produce a short national report in their language which will later be translated into English to be released together with a European Comparative Report at the European Conference in Brussels.The report will focus on the following areas:

1. Inclusive education 

2. The family and de-institutionalization 

3. Health care 

4. The promotion and participation of children 

5. Abuse

The main partners in the project are Inclusion Europe, Eurochild and the Faculty of Education at Charles University in Prague .The outcome of the project is to empower children with an intellectual disability as well as disability NGOs at national and European level to lobby for higher impact of the CRC and to better combat all forms of violence and discrimination against children with intellectual disabilities.Applicants are invited to submit their CV and motivation letter in English before 29 March 2010 to the following email address: k.ward(at)
