Persons with disabilities are NOT excluded from ....

"the general education system on the basis of disability, and that children with disabilities are not excluded from free and compulsory primary education, or from secondary education, on the basis of disability"

Letter to the Disability Support Group

Dear Colleagues,

as the project XX is a ""a person-centred management system" it should include every meassure to avoid ANY kind o discrimination (compare with my comments in one of the last DSG meetings)!

It is obvious that the school exclusions at the European Schools leads to financial discrimination of affected families, in our case e;g. i need to cover a second rent in the city where my son goes to school now. I have therefore costs of around XXX Euro per month, which are currently not covered by any EP or EC rule.

The European Ombudsman recommended last year within my complaint against the European Commission to install rules and meassures to avoid such kind discrimination.

I strongly recommend therefore to complete the list of action within the project XX with the necessary steps the Ombudsman recommended to avoid also any kind of discrimination in regard of disability discrimination as an outcome of school exclusions from the European Schools, otherwise Project 42 can not be titled as a "a person-centred management system" !

These financial compensations could be paid as a disability allowance (e.g. analogue to the German "persoenliches Budget"):

i need to underline that such a treatment has nothing to do with "positive discrimination" but is a measure to avoid any kind of discrimination by elimination of extra expenses which arise because of a disability!

a nice weekend to all
