Persons with disabilities are NOT excluded from ....

"the general education system on the basis of disability, and that children with disabilities are not excluded from free and compulsory primary education, or from secondary education, on the basis of disability"
Article 24 CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

Letter to President Baroso and Vice President Wallstrom.

Dear Mr Barroso,
Dear Ms Wallstrom,

i have the honor to pass you my petition: Exclusion of disabled pupil at the European Schools.

My son Lucas (disability: autist) was excluded in May 2009, because the school was not willing to offer the necessary adaptation applied behaviour analysis (ABA) to him.

Since this date he remains without any schooling at home because we still have no school wich provides his mothertogue german language at my working place Brussels.

Your support in this question, wich effects many officials with disabled children and officials with children with "learning deficits", could help a lot to overcome these obstacles at the European Schools but also at other regular schools in Europe:

Pupil with disabilities need the right adaptations, otherwise it wouldnt be possible to follow article 24 of the UN convention on the rights of disabled people, wich strictly forbids any schoolexclusion on the ground of a disability as seen in our personal case.

Additionally you will find my complaint in regard of the consequences of these school exclusions at the European Schools and the non adapted environment for people with learning disabilities.

I inform about the current developments in our own case and about school exclusions on the ground of a disability in general on my website www.noexclusion.com.

Best regards
Wasilios Katsioulis
